In 2013, my husband and I tied the knot right here on the Outer Banks, so I know what a special place this is to get married. One thing I realized when I got married, was the importance of having a professional coordinator to be the one in charge and help navigate the day. I tried to coordinate everything myself while relying on family and friends to help me. There were just so many details and moving pieces to remember, and I felt overwhelmed. My mom, sisters, my fiance’s family, and even a few friends were frantically trying to do whatever they could to help. I remember looking at my mom moments before the ceremony started, sweaty and stressed, yet putting on a smile for me. I felt so bad for putting that stress on her and everyone else. Now, we did pull it off and ultimately I got to marry my person in a beautiful ceremony followed by a fun reception, but it was not smooth sailing like it should be. If I could do it again, I would still be the primary planner of my wedding, but I would have hired a day of wedding coordinator for sure!
Since then, my husband and I have welcomed 2 kiddos into the world and absolutely love raising them here on the OBX. I have spent many years working in 3 industries: the wellness industry, the restaurant industry, and the wedding industry. I also have a background in education and once owned a boutique. I fell in LOVE with the wedding industry after managing a wedding venue, bartending at weddings, and assisting other coordinators and planners.
The experience from my own wedding, combined with working other weddings, is why I became a day of wedding coordinator! I want you and your loved ones to be able to relax and be fully present in each special moment on your big day. I will take care of all the moving pieces for you, so that you can focus on marrying your person and enjoying your special day.
